Slalom

The slalom race was held on Sunday, February 9, 1936 on the Gudiberg.

The conditions were good with temperatures between -7° to -5° Celsius. The length was 600 metres and the height difference was 200 metres with 33 gates. Penalties were added to the finishing time when competitors missed a gate.

The race started at 11 a.m. and the skiers started in order of the downhill race, so the winner Birger Ruud was the first on the course.

After the first run the jury decided which competitors were allowed to start in the second heat, so only 33 skiers competed in the final race.
